A TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 7, 1996 press release stated Royal Seas Cruise Line took over operation of the Sun Venture, a 450-passenger cruise liner sailing from Tampa. The ship was renamed the Royal Seas sailing two and five-day cruises twice a week, as previously scheduled, from Pier Six at the Tampa Port.
Royal Seas maiden voyage was March 8, 1996.
