Adventure of the Seas is the third Voyager-class cruise ship operated by Royal Caribbean International that cannot transit the Panama Canal. She was built in Aker Finnyards in Turku, Finland and completed in 2001. From 2001, she mostly sailed in the Southern Caribbean and departed weekly from the port of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is now (2010) based in the Mediterranean and offers four or five day cruises from Barcelona. She now alternates, departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico in the Fall and Winter and departing from Barcelona and Malaga in the Spring and Summer.
