Confirmed this chip is one of a 500-piece set given to the celebrities who played in the Celebrity Poker Showdown — a Bravo cable entertainment project that originated and was filmed at the Palms Casino for five consecutive years before moving to Harrah';s, New Orleans, LA.
Show featured high-profile movie and television stars who played Texas Holdem at the Palms.
It was a season-long tournament with each year';s winner getting the ultimate money for their favorite charity. It was a very popular cable TV presentation. Celebrity Poker Showdown aired 2003 to 2005 from Palms and the final year';s championship in New Orleans (2006)was the last episode. Gene Trimble provided key information about this chip. He was in charge of the Palms'; Poker Room during that period. Each celebrity got a 500-chip set of 11.5 gram chips in three colors by the casino as a welcome gift. There are two additional colors out there somewhere.
